David Meville Vollmer Sr,63, beloved son, brother, father, uncle "butter" and great uncle passed away peacefully on December 5, 2008 after a year long courageous battle with lung cancer. Born March 4, 1945, he was preceded in death by parents John Louis Vollmer,Sr and Mary Fraser Vollmer. A 1964 graduate of Lee HS, Dave had the love for autos, fishing, hunting and was passionate for NASCAR racing. He is survived by son, David M Vollmer Jr(Jessica),daughter Modell E Vollmer, siblings Cynthia M Vollmer, John L Vollmer Jr(Cheryl), Mary Upshaw(Randy), Mark W Vollmer Sr and Theresa A Rust(Darrel),10 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews. He is greatly missed as a brother and father.
